Antonio José Gómez Díaz holds a PhD in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, a Master’s degree in High Performance in Team Sports, and has been a professional football physical trainer for over 20 years. He currently holds a strategic role at SC Braga (Portugal) as Assistant Coach and Head of Performance.

His career is marked by extensive international experience at the elite level of football, having led physical training at top clubs such as Liverpool FC, Sunderland AFC, FC Barcelona, ​​and most recently, CR Flamengo in Brazil. At the national team level, he played a key role with the Royal Spanish Football Federation, where he served as Physical Trainer for the youth teams and Rehabilitation Specialist for the senior national team (current Euro 2024 champions), in addition to his previous stint with the Polish national team.
